Twilight New Moon Eclipse Breaking Dawn

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

There are several things about all this discussion on Twilight New Moon Eclipse Breaking Dawn books and movies that should be addressed. What about how Edward sees Bella controls? What about how you want to commit suicide after he leaves? Or the fact that he has no interests or hobbies or friends outside of her boyfriend? Or how she is willing to become a vampire, though she knows is likely to kill people and is okay with him? Or how to marry Edward effectively separated from his family, however, she does not care. If this is not an abusive relationship, I do not know what it is. And I’m not even going to enter that aspect of the story.

But abusive for Lindsey? Bella? Come on! Bella made all options in relation to Edward … all of them. Not once Bella Edward force anything. Every choice we made Bella (with the exception of marriage) were things that even Edward was very uncomfortable. He is endangering everything he believes in being with Bella. And if your really going to talk about how she sees the controls … it only does so because he is afraid of hurting you (and he is too jealous). But it does apologize for all that?? And he says .. and I quote …. “And most importantly, I am unwilling to let this drive a wedge between us”

There have been many human and immortal romances where the immortal was decades or centuries old. She keeps her relationship with her father. Edward is so suicidal when he leaves for his own good. She refuses to give up her friendship with Jacob. I do not think he had a hobby before Edward, who can make your boring, not weak. She is not right with the murder of people. She and Edward plan to the north after being amended to not be around people until they can be controlled and it is strong enough that it is not necessary.

Partly hell to do as a lawyer here, but I’m not sure I understand the relevance of this line of analysis. Would you stop their daughters from reading Wuthering Heights, because Cathy and Heathcliff have an unhealthy relationship? Do you want to stop reading Pride and Prejudice because all the girls are concerned in this book are finding husbands? They are also married very young and not thinking about other options. That might have been more common then than now, but many girls still make the choice of this day. The books are not about “teaching” – That’s the schools and parents. The books are about entertainment, fun, escape. I think the only fault here is that Twilight New Moon Eclipse does not think she’s scheduled to go out that way … I think it was really intended to be romantic and idealized. But going back to the book’s literary merit, not its message.

In the books of Bella to go to college, but she wants to first be transformed so that it is not much larger than Edward. No where does it say that she does not want to go to college at all. It is a matter of time difference between her and Edward. Additionally, none of the male vampires had their college degrees before becoming a vampire. To keep abreast with the times and spend decades or centuries in some cases, vampires go to school and achieve varying degrees. Women in Twilight New Moon Eclipse series’ books are shown to have great power. The films have to play a vegetarian vampire coven neighbors headed by women. In Breaking Dawn women leaders are leading.

And finally, as someone who is very pro-choice, I also believe it is right for women, though she is dying from pregnancy, to keep and not abort the fetus. It’s called an election and Bella makes no less of a feminist, or lack thereof, to do so.

Twilight New Moon Eclipse Breaking Dawn has absolutely set back the feminist … entertainment. Before these idiots books, the female characters had become a power in everything from movies to music to television to even video games (since you mentioned). Buffy, Shrek, Lara Croft, Spice Girls … shows all powerful, ambitious young heroines admired. Heck, even Disney princesses jumped on the bandwagon girl power. But it comes with its antiquated Twilight Mormon ideals about how women should behave to get stopped short. It is sad to see a self-proclaimed “liberal feminist” defend this shit.

I was a fanatical reader king as a teenager. Those books, in particular, and that the stand, had a lasting impact on me. I certainly agree that there is a fundamental difference between books and literature, but I still think “books” read for pleasure shape the young minds. I doubt that some might argue that Judy Blume writes great literature, but no doubt it has had a tremendous impact on entire generations of teenagers.

This is the craziest thing I’ve read in my entire life! Want to talk about the real world, look around. There are plenty of girls who get pregnant in school or just out of high school and then go and marry because that I think will last forever! In most cases do not end well and it the fourth book has lasting forever, but it’s better than breaking Edward and Bella being a single parent. A lot of teenagers understand right from wrong and know it will not last forever. Just because I know that does not mean that we apply to your life, but you are not giving teens credit to good from evil. This book is not someones life story. Do not take something that has also achieved many teenagers and even adults to read. Stephanie Meyer, in any way encouraged this situation with Bella and Edward. It’s just something that came to her so she wrote about her in Twilight New Moon Eclipse Breaking Dawn. There are more things in the real world that could break in two, so do not worry. As parents explain to their children that this does not happen in the real world that I will. Does NOT mean they’ll listen, but that’s clearly your problem.
